After the success of last year’s Fest Evol which featured the likes of Juliette Lewis, Blossoms, Marnie and Hooton Tennis Club as well as rising stars Black Honey and Pumarosa Liverpool promoter Evol have raised the bar again with a huge all dayer.
It all kicks off on 30.04.217 under the header Fest Evol gardens at our favourite venue The Invisible Wind Factory . The venue will be transformed into a gargantuan festival site with three separate ‘atmospheres’ the main hall, basement and outdoor stages whilst FestEvol is working with local artists and set designers to bring the ‘Future Garden’ theme to life.
Today Evol announces five more new acts Manchester’s PINS fresh from their collaboration with Iggy Pop, plus local favourites All We Are andBrighton’ss sky-gaze psych-rockers WHITE ROOM and Copenhagen’s electro soul royalty CHINAH alongside two brand new groups from Liverpool, the BRIBES and SPINN.
This is in addition to an incredible line-up which features the likes of Wild Beasts, Pulled Apart By Horses, The Parrots The Sundowners as well as VPME faves Black Honey, Amber Arcades and Dream Wife. Then there are Manc loons Cabbage, In Heaven , The Orielles, The Big Moon who have just dropped a new video today (see below) Locally there’s Strange Collective, Pink Kink , Psycho Comedy and Her’s to name but four!
Need we go on, after all, you can all read the poster right? If this line up doesn’t get your pulse racing then you’re already in the next world as this is an epic line up featuring some the best bands currently plying their trade in the UK and beyond.
FestEvol Gardens booker & promoter Revo: “I kind of feel effervescent every time I look at the posters knowing what each group can do on stage. We’re punching well above our weight with this lineup and it’s a testament to Evols work around the year in Liverpool that all these bands will form together for us on one day to enjoy themselves in an out-there venue like the Invisible Wind Factory that’s found deep down the Docklands”
“It’s been a long journey since we began life with our first FestEvol event way back in 2008 with many highs along the way with the successes of the Kazimier and Camp and Furnace events but I feel we’ve found a new long term partner and home at the Invisible Wind Factory, a venue that shares our passion for the new, innovative and creative forces in music and art. We’re moving forward with an incredible sense of purpose and excitement at what the future holds and our April event will be the pinnacle of our previous years yet a new starting point for the festival.”
